We Won Ally of the Year at the Sexual Freedom Awards! 🌈

On Sunday 10th May, SW Friendly Accountants had the absolute honour of winning the Ally of the Year Award at the incredible Sexual Freedom Awards and honestly, we’re still buzzing.

And yes… the trophy is exactly as iconic as you’d hope.

A huge gold dick with rainbow pride flag wings? Honestly, it might be the greatest award we’ve ever seen. It’s currently taking pride of place in the office and getting the attention it fully deserves.

But behind the fabulous trophy is something that genuinely means the world to us.

When we started SW Friendly Accountants, we wanted to build an accountancy firm that felt different. A place where people working in the adult industry, alternative lifestyles, and sexual freedom communities could get expert financial advice without judgement, awkwardness, or having to explain themselves.

Because everyone deserves to feel respected and supported, especially when it comes to their business and finances.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working with some amazing clients, creators, performers, educators, and entrepreneurs. Watching people grow their businesses, gain confidence, and feel comfortable being themselves is one of the best parts of what we do.

That’s why winning Ally of the Year feels so special.

This award isn’t just recognition for our work. It’s recognition for the importance of inclusivity, visibility, and creating safe professional spaces for people who are too often overlooked or misunderstood.

The atmosphere at the awards was incredible. We were surrounded by inspiring people, brilliant organisations, and an amazing community full of positivity, openness, and support. It was one of those afternoons that reminds you why allyship matters so much.

We also want to say a massive thank you to everyone who nominated us, voted for us, recommended us, and continues to trust us with their businesses. We genuinely couldn’t do this without our clients and community.

You’re the reason we do what we do.

Of course, we’re incredibly proud of the award itself and not going to lie, we’re probably going to mention the giant gold winged trophy at every possible opportunity, but more than anything, we’re proud to stand alongside a community that champions acceptance, empowerment, and authenticity.

We’ll continue doing what we’ve always done, offering professional, specialist accountancy support with kindness, discretion, expertise, and zero judgement.
